Audio is distorted when playing video in iTunes 11

Whenever I play a film in iTunes 11 the audio is distorted and glitchy but when I play it directly from the file on my PC the audio is just fine

Hello CheekiBreeki95. I wonder why you are trying to use “iTunes 11” in the year 2021? Are you perhaps running Windows XP or something? As recently as 2019, I was still using iTunes 11.1.5 on an old PC running Vista. I only had one film that I purchased from the iTunes Store (a documentary about Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album), but I was able to play the film without any audio distortion. When you “play it directly from the file” on your PC, is it opening in iTunes or some other software (perhaps Windows Media Player)? BTW, I have good reason to doubt that iTunes 11 can even sign in to the iTunes Store anymore. If you are already signed in, DO NOT sign out just to test! (However I saw a recent report that iTunes 12.1.3 could sign in provided that two-factor authentication is enabled.) Anyway, if you are running Windows 10 (which is all Apple supports anymore), then I would suggest that you install the latest version of iTunes. Not many community members are using iTunes 11 anymore I’m afraid. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
