How can I install Windows XP on a Mac with no CD drive?

I have a Windows XP install disc that I'd like to use for Boot Camp, but my iMac doesn't have a CD drive. Can I install Windows without one?

I have another Mac that does have a CD drive (I don't want Windows on this machine). Could I use that machine to make a disc image of the Windows CD, and if so, what would be the process?

Thanks!

You need an Apple Superdrive and a macOS version that supports WXP. macOS High Sierra and later will not support WXP.

I suggest using an older macOS version, macOS 10.7 (Lion) or macOS 10.8 (Mountain Lion). You will also need the 'Grey' restore CDs that came with your Mac. If your iMac came installed with macOS versions older than these, you will not be able to do it well. You may get a partially working installation. A Virtual Machine may be a better path forward.
