Blocked contact receiving group texts

Why is it that a contact in my iPhone is receiving group texts that I’m included in with that person whom I have blocked? This needs to be fixed. If I block someone, they should not see any texts I respond to although this blocked contact and I are receiving messages from

someone in the group. I also have my group texts disabled but someone with an iPhone can still include me in group texts I don’t want to be included in. Please advise.

Blocking someone does not prevent them from getting texts from you. It only prevents you from getting texts from them. So, if they are in a group text with you, yes, they will see your texts. That is expected behavior.

The Group Messaging setting only affects SMS/MMS messages. It has no effect on iMessages.
