bikes compatible with apple fitness+ app streaming service

Are the two Schwinn bikes shown as compatible with the Apple Fitness+ App the only ones that will work with the subscription service? I know I can set my workout app on my Apple watch to sync with time, calories, etc. I am asking if there is some special connection one would be missing if one used another brand of stationary exercise bike? Will any brand work if one has their iPhone or iPad attached to the bike and have the streaming service classes? Thanks for any info.

Multi Sport issues I love the Multi Sport option on the Apple Watch. But…I did an indoor triathlon and I could not sync with the bike or treadmill. The treadmill data some how was able to include my run distance but the bike portion did not include my distance. Can this be an improvement in the future? Or, at least allow the user to edit the exercise (like me being able to add the bike distance traveled) to provide as much data as possible. I would think the equipment could be synced with during the transition part of the multi-sport.
