Is there anyway to create irregular recurring events in the Calendar App on iPhone - or even to copy and paste an appointment to another day (and time) e.g. dentist appointment approximately every 6 months (but not exactly 6 months apart)?

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you need some help with setting recurring events in the iPadOS Calendar app. We're happy to help!
When setting your event, tap Repeat > Custom. On the next screen, select "Yearly" in the "Frequency", and "1" for the "Every" section. Once you do this, a chart with all the months of the year will appear. You can then select the months you wish the event to repeat, and even specify the day of the week it occurs (example: you can set it to repeat the first Sunday of the selected month, etc).
If you need to adjust the specific date and time of the event, you'll need to do that on an individual event basis once it's been set.
