Spam text message from email

I am getting an influx of spam text messages from email addresses. I have Verizon. I read where they can’t disable SMS msgs from email addresses like AT&T does but I haven’t personally verified that. Any way to stop this? I think it started after I uploaded a CV/Resume to a job search website
