MacOS Mail shows a menu option "Import from iPhone" and is grayed out. How do I do that?

How do I do that? First to activate the grayed menu option and then allow the settings from the iPhone to be imported. Yes, I know I can do auto or manual, but wanted to utilize this import option if viable. Thanks!
