I can't figure out why it's possible sometimes to change only a few word from a sentence to another color, and while working on the same file after 30 minutes, if I select a part of the text, Motion apply the color change to the entire text.
Can someone help me out? Thanks a lot!

For example, select the Text tool and type something like:
Select the word "red" in the canvas:
In the Inspector, select Text, then Appearance and, if necessary click the word Show next to Face (you will have to hover the cursor near the word Face:
Click the color well (the white rectangle) and choose a color
Yes, this is exactly what I did, and it used to work for me but it doesn't anymore...
Now even when I select the portion of the text, it changes the entire text. I tried changing it in the HUD and in inspector.
If you do all this and it does not work, try deleting preferences.
To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting Motion and click Delete Preferences.
It is very easy to do.
Write your text.
SELECT the portion of the text that you want to change (color, font, whatever).
Change in the Inspector.
It seems to work now! I selected the text from the canvas and not from the inspector, I think that might be the reason. Thanks a lot, you've helped a lot!
