I am trying to setup Piano Apprentice but not sure if it is working correctly. I have ordered a lightning adaptor so have not connected the keyboard yet. What I need to know is if the app should still work without the keyboard as no video shows when running lessons. Audio ok.

Are you referring to a piano keyboard?
Yoy may need to use either external power to this piano keyboard and/or use the Apple adapter instead and keep your iPad plugged into power, as well.

I have to use a similar setup with my Lightning port equipt iPad with an external piano keyboard to be able to use music apps on my iPad.
