MacBook Pro mid 2009 wont install OS.

I have found my mid 2009 MacBook Pro, and when i stopped using it, i factory reset the device. Now, upon turning it on, it asks me to reinstall the OS, which is all good...but, then the device has to verify with apple, and then it keeps saying it cant verify.

Is there a way to fix this?

Here are your options:

See if you can boot into Internet Recovery Mode using Command + Option + R
Create a bootable macOS 10.11 El Capitan USB installer using another Mac this is compatible with macOS 10.11
Install OSX 10.6 from the retail OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD installer
