Find My does not have a primary, All devices activated on your AppleID have equal access.
If your work phone and your personal phone have different appleIDs there is no link.
You can add extra numbers to your trusted set in appleid.apple.com then Security
Both phones need to be activated with the same AppleID and both phones need to have Find My turned on.
Both phones would then be on the Find My the same as I have my phone my iPad and my MacBook.
I don't have my wife's phone on the same AppleID as that would be a problem to us both.
It would be unusual for your company profiled phone to be on the same AppleID as your personal one. Is it?
If you hand in a company phone you will usually lose all access to it and it's credentials.
Find my is using the corporate owned iphone as the location. When I select "use this phone as location," referring to my personal phone. the option is not available.
