Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I was installing Disk Clean Pro via Mac App Store and then my Avast anti-virus alerts me that Disk Clean Pro is infected with a virus TuneUpMyMac-D [PUP].
Is it possible that virus-infected software makes its way to the App Store? If not, what else could this error message mean? Is it safe to use Disk Clean Pro?

App Store apps are virus-free. Sometimes, anti-viral software interprets things that are a part of an app as a virus.

It is not wise to call it virus-free but is it the most secure place you can download apps on the Mac. It probably treated that app *** a treat because it has full disc access and other features that may be a bit intrusive by normal app standards so do be careful
Store apps are virus free! Period. End of story.
