I could be wrong: you may have Apple "Messages" in the dock ... if so just click on it, and the log-in screen appears.
(Earlier versions of MacOS may still have "iMessage")
If it is really Messenger you want ... try the App Store ... (You can "search" at top left of the App Store window)
