How do I send a text after entering a number on the keypad in the Phone app? How do I bring up the keypad to enter a phone number in the Messages app? It's cumbersome to enter a phone number with the keyboard.

Doesn't answer any of my questions. Is it impossible to use a keypad to enter a phone number to message? I want an easy way to enter a phone number to text message. The keyboard is not easy to use for entering phone numbers.
