airplay2 and homekit reqire an icloud account

Airplay2 and homekit require an icloud account. I sign in, but it doesn't acknowledge the sign in. I know its the correct password, because it will tell me if it isn't. It never shows a bad password, it just doesn't show me logged in so when I go to show which room it is in, it says airplay2 and homekit reqire an icloud account.

What is the next thing to do to try to get loggin into my icloud account. Everything else shows it is attached to my icloud account.
