You may need to update using iTunes on a computer. Instructions are at the link below.
In addition to the good help you have already received, how much Available storage do you have, under Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage?
You need significantly more Available storage than the size of the install package. Something on the order of three (3) times that much or more. (This will vary depending upon iPhone model and the particular update.)
i tried again with all the the requirements given but still did not work. 😔 Still shows updating even i plugged it in to charge overnight 😔
I can’t find the ios update file on the iphone storage...
iOS 12.4.1 is not current for any model of iPhone. Go to: Settings - General - iPhone Storage - there check for an iOS update file and delete it. Restart the phone and check for an update again.
From what I can see in your latest image, you should have plenty!
