I've read from the communities on Apple that this Intego X9 may do more harm than help. Is this true and what should I do if it is going to or already harmed my computer?

Are there any AntiVirus, Disk Cleaner, Optimizers, Defrag, VPNs etc installed which should be removed as per Developers Instructions. They are useless, unneeded, cause havoc and interfere with the normal operation of the OS. The Built-in Security of Big Sur and applied to Big Sierra, is all that is required.
Usually these Anti-Virus apps start off working OK, but usually cause problems later, I think I've tried them just to lean about what they do, some are worse than junk,... haven't tried Intego since 10.5.8 when it started causing problems.
I occasionally run MWB just to check, it hasn't interfered yot.
This helped me very much. I notice I don't get tons of spam on my aol mail anymore but now I'm worried about when I have to uninstall it that I'll have problems. I wish I wrote to you all before paying for this.
Now I wish I just kept Malwarebytes on my computer. I took it off after reading an article about having 2 different programs can cause problems. Well I only paid $40. for 2 yrs. but I still wish I asked about Intego X9 first after the answers I’ve read. I just hope I don’t have problems when I take it off. Thank you BDAqua for your help.

will I have problems when I uninstall this? Prior to this I had malwarebytes, the free version and I took all of that off my computer.
I installed Intego X9 a month ago for my Macbook Pro late 2011 Edition using High Sierra 10.13.6
