All Depends on Music (iTunes or Home):

If it is associated, then that means it is allowed to play the items associated to your Apple Account. So, if it is purchased music, then all would be fine, as long as it is still in iTunes Library. If this is Home Music, then all should stay.

IMPORTANT:

Back Up your iPhone and Mac first:

What to Try:

Start by restarting you Mac. Next check other devices associated to your account. Finally, on this Mac, sign out of iCloud, and then sign back in.

You should repair your Music library before attempting to sync your device. Right now it is potentially a location from which you could recover music if it really has gone missing from your computer and you don't have backups you can restore. That said if the music was on the computer before the update then it should be there now. Was this from one version of Big Sur to another? Do you have Time Machine set up and covering the Music folder?

If you look in Finder you should find you have home folder with you name, inside that Music is the standard location for Music, inside that should be another Music folder where your library live, i.e. ~/Music/Music. There should be a library file called Music Library.musiclibrary and your media should be in ~/Music/Music/Media, or perhaps ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media if this computer ever had Mojave or something earlier installed. Let me know what you can find.

Music doesn't provide a method to import media (apart from purchases) or playlists from a device. Before looking at the options for recovery from the device let's see if it is possible to fix the library on the computer. Please take look inside ~/Music/Music and right click on the file Musc Library.musiclibrary (you might not see the extension) and click Show Package Contents. Please let me know what files you see inside. In particular is there a Temp File.tmp, and if so how big is it?
