I got the new MacBook Air M1 for my birthday this week. On the box, it says its 13 inches but when I measured it, its only 11.8 across the screen and 14 inches diagonal. This is my first MacBook what's going on. did they send me the wrong one?
No, it is 13.3”. Measure only the viewable area of the screen. The perimeter bezel is not included in screen measurements.

Measure the viewable area diagonally. That is the true measurement.
so its 14.2 inches....
