i have a mac pro running os x 10.11.16 el capitan can i update this to a newer os x

can this be done so i can run ableton live 11 on my machine ?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your Mac Pro is a mid-2010 or newer model, download High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina, or Big Sur. If not, no.
