So if my subscription doesn’t say “cancel” it’s cancelled and won’t charge me anymore?

That's what it says in this document:
"How to cancel a subscription from Apple" --> https://support.apple.com/HT202039
• "If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription is already canceled and won't renew."
