Can't sign in to apple id on my macbook pro mid 2014 A5102 with reinstalled OS to update to the newest.

I’m trying to sign in App Store on Mac currently running 10.9.5 so I can upgrade it to the newest version and every time I try to put it my Apple ID I get asked to verify on my phone. When I do that and allow I get a verification code which there’s no space to put it in! If I add it after the password or if I put my password I keep getting a message that I forgot my password and that I’ve entered it incorrectly more than once and I need to reset!

This is driving me crazy! The Apple ID works perfectly on my Phone

Any help is much appreciated

Hi Akurat,

We understand that you're unable to sign into your Apple ID account on your device, and we want to help.

Just to confirm, are you using these steps to sign into your Apple ID account? Sign in with your Apple ID

You mentioned that you do receive the verification code successfully; to clarify, have you tried entering your password, followed by the verification code? "Whenever you sign in with your Apple ID on a new device or browser, you'll confirm your identity with your password plus a six-digit verification code."

You can find more information about getting a verification code and signing in with two-factor authentication here: Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication If you continue to run into an issue, please check out the "If you still can't sign in" part of the previous link as well.

Take care!
