thunderbolt 2 coupling

Is it possible to join two Thunderbolt 2>2 or 3>3 cables together with something like a type c coupler.

As I'm working on a project that need to relocate the thunderbolt from the back of my Mac mini to a rack panel for ease of access or do I have to just leave a cable dangling out the back?

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

Anything is possible, but I have never seen anything like this.


Beware of "specialized" adapters that come from china. They can promise you anything over the internet, but when you get them and you find out that they don't work, they know you're not going to spend $40 to send back a $20 "adapter" so they make money on you.
