Updating shortened price list from a master price list

I'm updating the pricing on 1020 items that our store sells from a manufacturer who sells more than 5000 items, we just do not sell them all.

Is there a way to get the new prices for my 1020 items out of the master price list of 5000 items without searching each part number individually?

I have both spreadsheets as sheets within one Numbers file now.

Hi travisroy,

The VLOOKUP function will do this.

Formula in B2 of the Short List table: VLOOKUP(A2,Master List::A:B,2,0)

Fill down to the bottom of that column.

If your Master list not that simple, please post a screen shot so that we can see what you see.

Regards,

Ian.
