iPhone No Longer Vibrates for Text Messages/Notifications

I have an iPhone Pro Max. My software is all up-to-date with iOS 14.4. When I'm working I keep my phone on silent/vibrate so if a text comes through I can hear a faint buzz and see a notification on my phone. However, after the latest software update, it stopped vibrating and showing all on-screen notifications. On my phone settings, I have "Vibrate on Ring" and "Vibrate on Silent" turned on, as well as "Vibrate" turned on in the Accessibility > Touch settings. I also have notifications turned on for texts and a few other apps.

Problem #2: If I'm wearing my Apple Watch but have my iPhone sound turned on, the phone also does nothing. If my phone is unlocked it will chime but if it's locked I won't hear a sound OR get a vibration on my phone.

It's like my phone is in permanent do not disturb mode! Very frustrating!

Any solutions on how to fix this?

Let's start by reviewing the steps in How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode, and make sure we've ruled everything out that could be causing the behavior there, first.

In regards to when you're wearing your Apple Watch. Take a look over: Notifications on your Apple Watch. As quoted from this article, "Notifications go to either your Apple Watch or iPhone, but not both. If your iPhone is unlocked, you'll get notifications on your iPhone, instead of your Apple Watch. If your iPhone is locked or asleep, you'll get notifications on your Apple Watch, unless your Apple Watch is locked with your passcode."

I understand now. But I really don't like it. My watch basically makes my phone useless. I miss a lot of text messages and calls. Hopefully, Apple will add features so we can customize.
