An adjustment layer is a Title.

How did you get this adjustment layer? Did you place it manually in some folder in your mac? It has to be placed in the proper location in order to appear in FCP.

1)

Here is a picture. The hierarchy starts with the Movies folder, inside your home folder.

This one is for a transition, but the hierarchy is similar, just use the Titles folder instead of the Transitions folder.

2) The folder named "Lichinho" in the above picture is the category folder. It can be named anything you like. This name will appear as a group of titles in FCP.

3) If some folders are missing, you can create them manually. In that case, the "Motion Templates" and the "Titles" folders have to be "localized": select, press command-I, and in the Get Info window add the .localized extension to the name. It won't be shown in the Finder, but it is required by FCP:

The category folders and each of the templates folders need not be localized.
