iPad Pro 2018: Microphone very low / not working

Good day,

I figured out a strange issue:

Whilst trying to establish a Facetime call, others couldn't hear me when only using the device without headset. So don't buddies hear me in-game when not using a headset.

Further investigation: Communication on Skype doesn't work as well without headset. Videorecording works, even with sound. So does Siri - not with activating it verbally ("Hey Siri..."), but after pressing the on/off button you can ask Siri and she will answer.

I fiddled around with voice recording... The microphone in the bezel (top of the device held in portrait orientation) seems to be set to rather low volume. If you hold the device next to your mouth, it'll record the voice at a very low volume, if you gently tap the device there, you'll see the waves going up accordingly, and you'll listen the noises of tapping.

Any idea on how one could solve this?

Thanks, and best regards,

TMHB
