12 Pro Max Add app sideswipe
I am not able to get the "sides swipe" to work to add an app. Any ideas or suggestions?

What do you mean "side swipe"?
If you're trying to install an app from the App Store, you need to double click the physical button on the side to confirm it, not 'swipe'.
