First iWatch; noticed issue with Activity tracking.  "Sitting" time seems to be counted as "standing".  Yesterday, I spent most of the day working from a chair; and half the remaining time relaxing in another chair.  Yet the app says I stood 13 hours. Today is on a similar trend; say I've "stood" for 5 hours; the same time I've been awake, with most of that time, again, in a seated position.

Hi there The_Lone_Fedora,

From what we can tell, your Apple Watch seems to be recording your Stand progress while you're sitting. We're glad you've connected with us in Apple Support Communities, and we can provide some clarity.

"The Stand ring shows hours in which you've stood and moved for at least a minute. Complete your daily Stand goal by standing up and moving around for at least 1 minute during 12 different hours in the day." Did you stand and move for at least one minute during each hour that was recorded? If so, it's normal to see data recorded for your Stand goal. Have a look at the 'Stand' section of this support article to learn more:

Cheers.

Will look at the "accurate measurements" link when I get a chance. But neglecting how stupid it is to count "if I got up in an hour at least once", let alone counting that as the standing goal, and not making any intuitive sense compared to number of total steps in the day and minutes of exercise,... which do make sense while measuring "activity",... is the fact that the watch is still wrong. According to what you said, in a 10-12 hours period, when I've worked without getting up for 2-3 hours once or twice, it should not be possible to have a count of 13; meaning either you are mistaken on how it the app works, or the app is still not working as intended. On a side note, if you are going to have any version of a standing goal that doesn't mean what a reasonable person thinks it means, could you please add a feature to stop tracking so it isn't bothering my any more. This is my first apple product, and poor programming and worse design like this is making me seriously regret "upgrading" from my S4.

Here's an observation update. I got up this morning ~8am. Having been physically out of the bed for 1-3 minutes, not having gotten up since going to bed, I nevertheless already had 2/6 hours of "stand" time.

While looking at the activity app, looking at the trends section, I noticed you are literally tracking "Stand Minutes". You are literally choosing to provide useless information when useful information is being tracked. Want a massive upgrade to your features, simply allow the user to decide what information they want to display in the three Activity rings, providing all the options seen in the "Trends" menu.

@javaliga, thanks for the clarification. Been intending to; compiling a huge mental list of feedback that I'm going to try to type up. Need to save the money that the plan came with, as compared to sticking with Android while my wife was on Apple. My previous device; a failing battery, cracked screen, S4; shouldn't be more powerful (in terms of usability, user options, etc.) than a brand new iPhone. Simple things like a native split screen capability and a keyboard that includes numbers and periods on the first screen. The link you provided should help me direct my concerns.
