I just got an iPhone SE. There appears to be no way to know when I have a voicemail. Why is that?

VoiceMail is a carrier specific service. Contact your carrier and ask them.

I did ask Xfinity. They said it was a device issue. I do receive voicemails. What is missing is some sort of notification to me that I have a new voicemail. The only way I know I have voicemails is call voicemail 10 times a day to check.
