My iphone does not scan QR codes

if you check Settings > Camera, is the toggle switch turned on for Scan QR Codes?

I'm sure the QR scanner in Control Center has it's advantages for some as it automatically navigates to the website when you scan a code.

Using the camera app, you have the extra step of tapping on the prompt to open in Safari.

I suspect this is what's not happening for the OP. Thus the suggestion to check Settings.

Opinions aside, there are 2 built in methods to accomplish a QR scan (iOS 14).. Hopefully one of them works for the OP.

Same here.. I've never had an issue just using the camera to scan em.

But I did come across a post a couple months back where that switch was turned off for whatever reason.

I believe even if that switch is turned off, the QR scanner in Control Center will still work.

I've seen such a setting on the camera. I just aim the camera at the QR code.

I don't have any QR icon in my Control Center and I don't think one is needed.
