iPad as wired keyboard
I need a hard wired keyboard to access my disk utilities on the Command R prompt at start up on my Mac. Is there a way to use my ipad with usb connection as a wired keyboard?

Possibly.
Primarily as there is Apple/Command key on iOS or any of the other standard Mac keyboard keys.
You would neee to hunt for an iOS App that can make your iPad act as Mac Keyboard and can work over the iPad's connection port.
Look for such an app that will work over the iPad's connection, if available.
Most od these types of apps, usually, only work over WiFi and/or Bluetooth connection
OR
If you have any electronics/computer repairs places, in your location, call and check whether they have s collection of Mac keyboards you can purchase if you have a missing or damaged Mac keyboard.
