Virus’ found on my phone?

So I was trying to search something up on my phone (a specific website- Reddit) to see something. As soon as I hit search I was immediately redirected to another website telling me my phone as been infected with 16 viruses and it showed the settings icon and I clicked “Ok”. There was a prompt to clear my iPhone and a 2 minute timer to do so. I didn’t choose the prompt because I never saw Apple.com in the URL so I instead just closed the application and put my phone into airplane mode immediately. I am a bit worried because I never clicked on any sort of pop-up ad of anything of that nature I was just immediately taken to that website after searching up Reddit.com. I opened up my settings and there was nothing telling me to do anything it no warning at all. Is there anyone who has had a similar situation that can offer any help?

iPhone 6s, 14

there is no virus on your phone.. it's a scam/phishing attempt. Just close the tab and maybe avoid visiting sites that present it
