Weather widget in iOS 14 stuck in wrong language

I changed the language on my phone recently, and today when I switched it back to English, everything reverted back to normal except for the weather widget on my Home Screen. It is still displaying my location in a different language. I have tried deleting the widget, restarting, and then adding the widget again, but it is still in another language. I have also tried to edit the widget to change it temporarily to a different location. When I change it back to My Location, it is still in the wrong language. What should I do to fix this?

Hello, DollyRocker2!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like the Weather widget is in the wrong language. If you remove the widget, restart your iPhone and then add it back, does that help?

Restart your iPhone

Use widgets on your iPhone and iPod touch

Also, are you allowing Weather to use your location services? if not, would you be able to allow access and test if the issue continues? Check out this article About privacy and Location Services in iOS and iPadOS.

Lastly, is your Apple ID region correct? You can see how to check, and adjust if needed, by following the steps in this article to Change your Apple ID country or region.

Let us know if the issues continue and have a wonderful day!
