My iPhone 7 is disabled I need to know how to hard reset my phone, holding down the down volume button and the home key isn’t working.

It's different on the iPhone 7: Hold down the volume down button and the power button. Since the iPhone 7 has a "fake" button which can be only pushed when it's on.
