Settings﹥General﹥About﹥Model﹥

A1378 is 2nd generation.

A1427 and A1469 is 3rd generation.


You may have accidentally set the icon to hide. You can unhide apps from Settings﹥Main Menu﹥.


Or you may want to inquire with MLB if they still support your generation model. If they stopped supporting a model, then that icon would be removed from the home screen.
