Is there a limit to the size of a note in Reminders? Yes and no! Work around desired!

An earlier post https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251998445?answerId=253806817022#253806817022 got sort of an answer, but perhaps not to the exact question asked. I think the correct answer is:

"The number of characters you can enter is HUGE, but the application will only display six lines of 100 characters each. It is possible to scroll through the note field text, but as a practical matter a note greater than 600 characters really is unusable."

This is one of the quirky limits that makes Reminders an okay task manager for a single person and a great value for the price (i.e. free with iOS and OS X), but not a serious contender for professional grade and/or multi-person task management.

Does anyone know a work around? Or where I can submit a change request?

Thanks, Steve, those are good things to bear in mind. As the footnote you included says, those limits do not apply once the user is on 13 / Catalina.

However, my comment (and the prior thread's comment) is about the Note field, not the Title field.

More importantly, the issue is not the number of characters that can be entered which is essentially unlimited on 13 / Catalina, but the app's constraint on displaying the entries which is limited to four lines for the Title field and six lines for the Note field. See this illustration:

It's a shame a pop-up editor isn't available with an expanded window that would let the user see and scroll through longer Notes.

And for Reminders geeks like me - all 17 or so of us - here's a tip: OPTION-RETURN allows you to enter a new line in both Title and Note (RETURN terminates input and closes the field).
