CPU Temperature

Just realized my CPU is operating at 150-170 degrees F on an average 10% load. This can't be normal, can it? I've checked it across 3 separate utilities, all report the same temperatures.

The 65C to 77C temps you posted are perfectly normal temperatures for the Apple Retina laptops. When the system is under heavy use the fan speeds will ramp up and the temps can run at around 95C to 100C if all CPU cores are maxed out. These Retina laptops run much hotter than older Apple laptops and non-Apple PCs. If you pay close attention to the CPU temps you will see the CPU core temp will jump dramatically when you do anything. This is how the Intel CPUs work.

In the future please post temperatures in Celcius since documentation and benchmarks list computer temps in Celcius.
