Did IOS 14-4 remove the drop down search bar on iPad?

Simply touch any empty area of a Home Screen with your finger - other than the extreme edges edges or corners of the screen - and swipe downwards to expose the Search dialogue.

From the Home screen, place a finger anywhere in an empty area on the screen and do a very short swipe ( almost a flick ) downward to bring up the iPadOS Search box.

Thank you. I am familiar with swiping down on the Home Screen, and it wasn't working. I ended up shutting my tablet down and restarting and now it works. I believe the 14.4 update caused this glitch.

Thank you. I did swipe down on the Home Screen, and it's always worked in the past, but now it is not. I'm not sure if it had to do with the latest update or something else. Sounds like I need to contact Customer Care.
