CSV files on a mac

I have a Mac. Can I download csv files on it from a database, work on them and re-upload them. I can't seem to make it work. Thank you

iMac 27″, macOS 10.14

Get started with the "Import a text file" steps here: Import an Excel or text file into Numbers on Mac


You can then use Numbers to edit the file. Once you're finished, use these steps to export it to CSV to upload it again: Export to other file formats in Numbers on Mac
