Consolidating email accounts in mail

When using several different email accounts, the favourites feature is useful to consolidate and collate all of your emails together.

However, when you do that you can still see the individual email account to the bottom of the left-hand navigation bar this is very confusing.

Is there any way to hide the individual email accounts at the bottom part of the left-hand navigation bar.

You can't hide the account itself, but you can sort of "minimize it".

Hover your pointer near the name of the account and click the little down arrow to twirl it closed.

Hi Yes that helps, but it's still confusing, not least because you tend to see large numbers of junk emails associated with each individual email account?

I find the whole view very un friendly, I might be tempted to try another mail client which would be a tragedy considering everything else is Apple.

Thanks for your suggestion anyway –
