Apple Pay - Hold Near Reader

I setup Applet Pay in my iPhone 6S Plus. Whenever I try to pay at retailer POS terminal, it says "Hold near Reader" though I hold it very close to the reader terminal less than 1 cm.

Problems with Apple pay I have an iPhone 6s. Apple Pay used to work on my device, but it suddenly stopped. I wasn’t able to restore it in any way. It simply doesn’t function(I approach it to (any) POS reader and it seems like it doesn’t recognize it). I have tried multiple times with no luck. Apple Pay opens without prompting on iPhone 12 Why does Apple Pay open on my (work) iPhone 12 when it's next to my other (personal) iPhone 12? Specifically, the work iPhone only opens Apply pay when my personal iPhone 12 is on top of it. No side button is pressed and no Face ID opens the phone. There is, however, a magnet in the case of my personal iPhone which is used to dock it on my car dashboard when driving. Could that be activating my Apple pay function of my work iPhone? This was never an issue when I had an iPhone 7 for personal and work phones.

Assistive Touch and Apple Pay How do I use Apple Pay with only double clicking the lock button? Because whenever I try to use Apple Pay with the lock button (double clicking) a notification pops up saying that in order to use Apple Pay I have to turn on assistive touch… when I simply want to double tap my lock button to quickly pay.
