avery and pages?

Yes you can, but you have to open the specific template in Pages first. Pages does open Avery templates when in Word format, .doc.

You have to get the template from Avery if you not already have it on your computer somewhere. Pages doesn't come with Avery templates so you have to add them instead.

+Right mouse click on file > Open with > Pages+

If you did what I showed you will see the transparent text boxes on the page and can click in those to type or add text.

You need to download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu and read up on how things work in Pages.

You can get a French version either from the menu or from Apple's support website.

Well in Pages you could make a table for this too, but you are using the Word version.

When you have opened the template in Pages click on it and you'll see the rectangles!

Here is an Avery Word template opened in Pages.

I just defined a yellow background to make labels easy to see.

Which image aren't you seeing ?
The one inserted in my post or the one built when you open a labels template ?
If it's the one built when you open a labels template, I have no idea because I can't guess what you are doing in front of your machine.

I get it (minus the colored background) when I double click a labels template, no less, no more.

You may attach one of your templates to a mail and send them (the mail and the attached file) to my mailbox. It would be easier to try to understand where is the problem.
