downloading iTunes

I just got a new MacBook Pro and I am trying to download iTunes and it says to upgrade to Catalina and when you click on that it takes you to an upgrade for Big Sur. I have done the upgrade twice now and it still is not allowing me to download iTunes. How do I fix this?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

See What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support. iTunes isn't supported in Catalina or Big Sur, but its functions are supported in a new set of apps.
