I’m exploring my iPad capabilities. I want to be able to perform an action on a schedule. For instance, play a song on a certain date or time, adjust the volume and play the news, or any other action that works with Siri already.
How is this accomplished?

Why don't you simply talk to Siri?
Have you already trained Siri to recognise your voice?
Siri, play such and such song on such and such date ( the whole date ) ( The song has to appear in the Music app of your iPad or is part of an Apple Music paid subscription or within some other music app on your iPad ).
Siri, adjust volume up or down
Siri, open Apple News ( or whatever news app you use ) app.
Siri, do this. Siri, do that.
Siri, check my mail.
Siri, what is the weather for today ( or forecast for the week )
Ask Siri anything you want to see how it responds.
Just talk to it like its your personal digital assistant.
