apple pay

why can't I add my card to apple pay an error comes up saying

'an error occurred while setting up apple pay '

when I tap the add button

Anyone had this problem ?

Have looked it up and some have said to turn password off or change and this didn't work, any other ideas would be helpful

Problem setting up Apple Pay. This problem keeps happening to me since day one I tried to add a card. I follow the steps but it keeps telling me, as soon as I press add card, "Could not set up apple pay... An error occurred while setting up Apple Pay". could not set up Apple Pay error Not able to add Apple Card to the Apple Pay. A message of " An error occurred while setting up Apple Pay" alway appears every time when I tried. I have already one credit card in the wallet. When trying to setup a Apple Cash, it showed " Apple Pay services are currently unavailable. Please try again later", in the last 4-5 days. I have an Apple Card approved 4 days ago. Thanks, Yijian

Try signing out of your Apple ID and back in.
