Are you Referring to Apple's Two-Factor Authentication? If so, then how did you log in to these forums? If you did not get a verification code prompt, then it is just not enabled, or it is a trusted device. So, either this device is trusted, or you have not enabled Two-Factor Authentication. Go Here: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support
- Other:
If this is for another company (i.e. an email provider), then contact that company, asking them for assistance.
