My own digital signature is invalid or not trusted

Hi,

for the last few weeks recipients of my emails have been telling me that, anytime they receive an email from me, they get this warning. When they click on the warning, a pop-up box appears with a message. How can I fix this?

thanks!

Hi,

I tried that and still the same problem at the receivers' side. Then I tried turning off digital signing in mail, and that worked. Pain in the you-know-what to do that every single time, but I can't have clients tell me constantly that my emails are flagged.

It's strange that this started happening out of the blue a few weeks back, there was never a problem before.

Thanks!

Hi,

thanks for your answer. The certificates that I have are

com.apple.kerberos.kdc

com.apple.systemdefault

They are both set to Use System Defaults.

Should I change that to "always trust"? Or should I specifically change the choice for email to "trust". "Trust a certificate on Mac" doesn't give me any advice on this.

I don't want to change anything that will mess up my Mac. :-)

thanks!
