i need to update from high sierra to catalina my macbookpro mid 2012 doesnt support big sur

hello nikky! in order to update your MacBook Pro, you have to go to the Mac App Store and search "Catalina" on the search bar. Afterwards, you will see its icon and then download it, its like a regular app!

How to get old versions of macOS just be sure to open links in Next page with Safari as Other Browser may not work.


Suggest doing a Time Machine Backup Before attempting.


Also, Special attention that Catalina Does Not Support any 32 bit Applications / extension at all. Check with Application Developers for updates / upgrades as well as any 32 bit Drivers will not work either - do the same Developer for updates / upgrades.
