does Iphone 12 has the issue of overheating while charging?
the brand new iPhone 12 of mine had the issue , got it replaced and the same issue happened with the replaced one as well.
have given for another replacement again

Unless a message was displayed on the screen saying the device must cool down it never overheated.
Any battery will get warm during a charge or with heavy use of the device.
Now I'll have to sell a share to pay for you returning a working product.
Well, it wasn’t just warm but really hot. And it was getting heated up while watching videos too towards the end - as in the day I returned it.
